Job summary

Key Auto Group in Hartford, VT, is seeking a Dealership Service Technician for White River Chevrolet. The position offers up to $50.00 per hour flat rate, depending on experience and ASE certifications, with opportunity for growth.

You will perform repairs, run diagnostics, and drive test vehicles; communicate with the Service Advisor about additional work and time estimates; execute repairs to manufacturer specifications and promote from within.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience.
• ASE Certification required.
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform work on the repair order efficiently per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and diagnose using diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain and repair vehicle systems (engine, transmission, brakes, etc).
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional repairs and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership standards
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed. Provide an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

• 2+ years of Service Technician experience preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification required
• B level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical, and Engine Repair
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
• Teammate with the ability to collaborate with others effectively
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures, and specifications
