Job summary

Germain Motor Company in Columbus, OH is seeking a Corporate Dealership Controller to oversee all accounting operations and provide strategic financial guidance for growth and profitability.

You will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, coordinate audits, and develop budgets while ensuring GAAP compliance and internal controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Proven experience as Corporate Controller or similar in automotive dealership.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and GAAP.
• Experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Develop financial reports and budgets to inform decisions.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.
• Support leadership with forecasting and strategic planning.
• Develop and maintain internal control policies and procedures.
• Manage budget preparation, forecasting and analysis.
• Collaborate with department heads on financial planning and cost control.
• Ensure compliance with financial laws and regulations.
• Coordinate and direct budget preparation and forecasts.

As the Dealership Controller, you will oversee all accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance while providing strategic financial guidance to support dealership growth and profitability.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Corporate Controller or similar role within automotive dealership or related industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures including GAAP.
• Experience with financial reporting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and leadership abilities.
• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
• Must be willing to travel.
