HHM CPAs is seeking a Dealership Specialist with 5+ years in the automotive dealership space to manage all accounting duties, ideally from a Controller perspective. The role requires working closely with dealership leadership and may include leading accounting staff across offices.

Travel up to 50% is required, with preference for candidates who have public accounting exposure. The position offers a path to manage a dealership accounting office within a growing firm known for client-focused

Formación

• 5+ years in automotive dealership accounting duties.
• Previous experience in a Controller role preferred.
• Public accounting experience is a plus, not required.

Responsabilidades

• Consult with dealership management and executive leadership.
• Train current Controller, staff accountants, and admin staff.
• Act as Controller as needed.
• Analyze and fix DMS issues.
• Analyze parts department, inventory, sales, etc.
• Perform gross reconciliations.
• Train on cleaning schedules.
• Prepare books for year-end tax returns.
• Create and implement accounting processes and best practices.
