Job summary

White Family Dealerships in Ohio seeks an experienced accounting professional to lead the dealership accounting office as Dealership Controller; experienced Office Manager candidates considered for progression. The role reports to the CFO and leads the accounting team in accurate financial reporting.

You will manage month-end closes, GL reconciliations, vehicle inventory and cash controls, and collaborate with management to resolve accounting issues, while mentoring staff and maintaining strong

Qualifications

• 5 years of previous accounting experience, automotive background preferred
• Experience with month- and year-end closing
• Strong general ledger and account reconciliations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with Tekion or ability to learn new systems

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the dealership accounting team
• Oversee monthly accounting close and preparation of financial statements
• Maintain general ledger and ensure reconciliations
• Review schedules and resolve outstanding items
• Oversee bank reconciliations and cash controls
• Oversee vehicle deal processing, title work, payables and receivables
• Monitor vehicle inventory and floorplan reconciliations
• Review receivables and maintain internal controls
• Collaborate with management to resolve accounting issues
• Provide backup and cross-training for accounting staff
