Toyota of Paris, a Sonic Automotive family dealership, located in Paris, TX, is hiring an Automotive Service Technician. You will perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards, with emphasis on diagnostics, inspections, and safe operation post-repair.

The role requires 2+ years of dealer experience, own tools, and a valid driver’s license. Competitive hourly pay and benefits offered within a Fortune 500 company.

Formación

• 2+ years of mechanic/ automotive service experience in a dealership or similar repair setting.
• Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, components and repair procedures.
• Must have own set of tools.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA and able to pass pre-employment checks.

Responsabilidades

• Perform vehicle inspection to identify mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic issues.
• Carry out repairs such as engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical and HVAC work.
• Take vehicles on test drives to verify repairs and function.
• Replace or repair components like spark plugs, filters, brakes, belts, and hoses.
• Conduct routine maintenance like oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks and alignments.
• Communicate with service advisor and parts department to coordinate work.

Job Description

TheAutomotive Service Technicianis responsible for performing vehicle repair and maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform a thorough inspection of vehicles to identify issues, including mechanical, electrical, or diagnostic problems.
• Carry out repairs based on the diagnosed issues, which may include engine, transmission, brake, suspension, electrical, and HVAC system work.
• Take vehicles on test drives to evaluate repairs, check for issues, or ensure the vehicle is functioning properly after the repairs are completed.
• Replace or repair key components like spark plugs, air filters, brake pads, rotors, timing belts, and belts and hoses.
• Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid checks, and alignment adjustments.
• Examine vehicles to check for any safety concerns or additional services that need to be addressed, ensuring that all systems are working correctly for the customer’s safety.
• Work with and notify the service advisor if additional work is unnecessary or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised timeframe.
• Communicate effectively with the parts department to procure required parts.
• Save and tag parts for warranty purposes or customer requests.
• 2+ years of mechanic or automotive service technician experience in a dealership or similar automotive repair setting.
• Diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of automotive systems, components, and repair procedures.
• Must have own set of tools.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
• All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.

Preferred Qualifications:

• ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications

Compensation (Hourly: Flat-Rate):

• $25.00 - 30.00/ hour
  • Depending on experience, qualifications, and certifications
• Tenure Bonus Program:Begins 6 months from hire date which includes bonus pay of up to $3.50 per flat rate hour.

• FULL TIME
• 5 days a week / 2 days off
