Job summary

Mount Airy Casino Resort in Mount Pocono, PA, invites applicants to join a 5-week Dealer Training Program for Blackjack. Classes start September 21, 2026. No experience required—we'll teach you everything needed to become a Table Games Dealer.

You will learn dealing policies, game procedures, currency exchange, and house rules in a supportive, hands-on environment with paid training at $7.25 per hour. After completion, a position as Table Games Dealer awaits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to perform basic math quickly.

Responsibilities

• Learn core games offered by the property and demonstrate working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming procedures.
• Deal games in accordance with internal controls and PA Gaming Control Board regulations and company policy.
• Learn how to exchange currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets according to house rules.
• Support and maintain property courtesy guidelines and conduct duties professionally.

Qualifications

Essential Job Functions:

• Delivers great customer service by learning core games offered by the property in a friendly and helpful manner with an upbeat/positive attitude.
• Learn how to demonstrate an effective working knowledge of dealing policies and gaming procedures.
• Learn how to deal games in accordance with internal controls and the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board regulations and company policy.
• Able to learn applicable departmental dealer efficiency metrics.
• Responsible for learning the protection and control of the game.
• Learn how to exchange currency for gaming chips and pay or collect bets according to house rules in an accurate manner.
• Support and always maintain property courtesy guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Presents oneself in a polished, professional, and service-minded way and encourages others to do the same.
• Meets attendance guidelines and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

Essential Requirements:

• Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older upon employment.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to perform basic math quickly.
• Must enjoy entertaining and communicating with the public.
• Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid license as required by the PA Gaming Control Board.
• Must have ability to deal effectively and interact well with guests and employees.
• Ability to work long hours within a smoking environment, employee will be exposed to smoke.
• Must be able to work varied shifts during a 24-hour period, weekends and holidays are required as needed.
• Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling employee conflicts or stressful customer interactions.

Other Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license as required by the PGCB.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
• Must be able to work nights, weekends and holidays as required with occasional travel.
