Job Purpose

American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) is seeking a Dealer Relations Manager for our Southern Virginia and Southern Western Virginia territory. You will play an important role in ensuring our organization’s profitability and success by building strong relationships with dealers and delivering excellent service.

Reporting to a Regional Sales Manager, you will manage your assigned territories of Honda and Acura dealers, acting as a consultant and trainer to ensure they leverage all benefits of AHFC products.

Key Accountabilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Promoting sales of AHFC products, ensuring program compliance, and implementing policies and procedures
• Building loyal relationships with dealers, and developing plans to improve dealership profitability and customer retention
• Adding value to the dealership while supporting regional goals
• Serving as a liaison to Honda Motor Company to identify resources and maximize dealer support
• Adhering to compliance policies and procedures

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

We seek qualified candidates with diverse backgrounds, open minds, and a disciplined work ethic. Requirements include:

• BA/BS degree in marketing, business, finance, or economics preferred
• 5-7 years’ experience in consumer finance and indirect sales
• Familiarity with lease and loan accounting systems
• Knowledge of sales programs, training, and auto dealer finance operations
• 75% travel with overnight stays
• Valid driving record
• Relocation flexibility
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Organized, results-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills

Compensation ranges from $81,800 to $122,700, based on experience and location.

Job Dimensions

• Managing relationships with over 18 dealerships generating over $30M in new contracts monthly
• Responsible for meeting profitability, sales, and productivity targets

Working Conditions

• Up to 75% travel, primarily to meet dealer contacts, with work from a home office
• Travel to dealer meetings and training events
• Potential future relocation
