Job Purpose

American Honda Finance Corporation (AHFC) is seeking a Dealer Relations Manager for our Southern Virginia and Southern Western Virginia territory. The role involves building strong relationships with dealers, ensuring profitability, and delivering excellent service. Reporting to a Regional Sales Manager, you will manage assigned territories, act as a consultant and trainer for dealers, and leverage AHFC products effectively.

Key Accountabilities
  • Promote sales of AHFC products and ensure program compliance
  • Build and maintain loyal relationships with dealers, enhance dealership profitability and customer retention
  • Support regional goals and objectives through value-added relationships
  • Coordinate with Honda Motor company to maximize dealer support
  • Adhere to compliance policies and procedures
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills

Ideal candidates will have:

  • BA/BS degree in marketing, business, finance, or economics preferred
  • 5-7 years' experience in consumer finance and indirect sales
  • Knowledge of lease and loan accounting systems
  • Understanding of sales programs, training, and auto dealer finance operations
  • 75% travel with overnight stays required
  • Valid driving record
  • Potential for relocation
  • Supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Job Dimensions
  • Manage relationships with over 18 dealerships generating over $30M in new contracts monthly
  • Achieve profitability, sales, and productivity targets
Working Conditions
  • Up to 75% travel, primarily from home office, attending dealer meetings and training
  • Possible future relocation
