Job Overview
This position is responsible for dealing dice while ensuring a courteous, engaging, and enjoyable experience for Palms Casino Resort guests. The position also plays a key role in generating revenue for the department through excellent customer service and effective game management.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Deal Dice games (Craps/Dice) and provide guests with courteous and accurate service while promoting an entertaining environment.
- Deal a procedurally correct game, while maintaining department standards of game productivity and protecting company assets.
- Assist guests by answering general questions and handling special requests to encourage gaming activity.
- Actively support and sell current marketing promotions and be a strong advocate of the Serrano Club program.
- Maintain a standing position for the duration of each shift while actively engaging players, dealing games accurately, and upholding a professional and focused presence.
- Maintain a professional, neat and well‑groomed appearance in accordance with the departmental dress code.
- Continuously demonstrate a pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor.
- Consistent and regular attendance and punctuality.
Required Qualifications
- Proficient in dealing craps/dice games.
- Literate and fluent in English.
- Eligible to obtain a Nevada Gaming License.
- Strong mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Excellent guest service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Flexibility to accommodate changing business demands, including schedule changes and overtime.
- Ability to uphold the highest level of integrity in all situations.
- Adherence to all regulatory, company, and department policies and procedures.
- Availability to work all shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Work performed in a Casino/Hotel setting with tolerance of varying noise, temperature, illumination, and air quality; possible exposure to smoke.
- Prolonged standing for extended periods.
- Repetitive motions associated with dealing dice, including handling gaming chips and operating equipment.
- Eye/hand coordination to identify dice, chips, and player actions under varying lighting conditions.
- Ability to balance, stoop (up to 45 degrees), kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and move objects up to 25 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to maintain concentration and attention to detail in a fast‑paced environment.
- Use of standard office equipment to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
