BMO Financial Group in Chicago is seeking an Analyst to join the Corporate & Leveraged Banking deal team, underwriting, credit approval and portfolio management for financial sponsor-backed transactions.

The Analyst will screen transactions, perform due diligence, build LBO models, and prepare credit analyses for committees. A finance degree and 1–2 years of relevant experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, economics, or accounting with outstanding academic achievement.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate banking, corporate credit, or capital markets.
• Completion of a financial analysis credit training program preferable.

Responsabilités

• Digest comprehensive data rooms and analyze key files.
• Lead diligence calls with financial sponsors and company management teams.
• Collaborate across Leveraged Finance, Industry Coverage, and Sponsor Coverage for committee materials.
• Create LBO models based on Management/Sponsor projection models for Credit Memos.
• Assess financial models for risks and mitigants and provide credit rationale.
