The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate Deaf Language Communication Facilitator to join our full-time school-based team in Ruther Glen, VA. You will provide essential support to students in both general and special education settings, using ASL to facilitate communication and learning throughout the day.

Ideal candidates have ASL skills and a background in education or working with children. You will collaborate with teachers and therapists, monitor progress, and help students

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ASL skills required.
• Experience with children or students preferred.
• Experience with students with special needs is a plus.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support to students in general and special education settings.
• Assist students with academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs.
• Implement teacher-directed instructional activities and interventions.
• Support student engagement, participation, and independence throughout the school day.
• Assist with classroom management and positive behavior support strategies.
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, therapists, and families as needed.
• Monitor student progress and document observations when required.
• Support students during transitions, lunch, recess, and other school activities.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to school and district policies.

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a compassionate and motivated Deaf Language Communication Facilitator to join our full-time school-based team in Ruther Glen, VA. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or relevant educational experience preferred
• ASL skills required
• Previous experience working with children or students preferred
• Experience supporting students with special needs, behavioral needs, or learning challenges is a plus
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
