SFUSD seeks a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to provide specialized instruction and lead IEP coordination for students with hearing impairments in a diverse urban district.

The role requires a California Education Specialist Credential with DHH authorization and collaboration with families, staff, and multidisciplinary teams. SFUSD offers a comprehensive benefits package and competitive salary commensurate with experience.

Qualificações

• Possession of valid Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Deaf and Hard of Hearing authorization.
• English Learner certificate (CLAD or BCLAD) required.
• Knowledge of Deaf culture and Deaf community.
• Ability to communicate effectively with Deaf students, staff and community.

Responsabilidades

• Participate in preparing and implementing IEPs for eligible students.
• Monitor and evaluate progress and behavior; prepare reports.
• Coordinate team meetings and multidisciplinary teams.
• Consult with general and special education staff to meet student needs.
• Organize and maintain records related to student progress and program objectives.
