Job summary

Northwest Indiana Special Education Cooperative is seeking an in-person service provider to support Deaf or Hard of Hearing students and their families in accordance with each student’s IEP across school, home, and community settings.

Duties include direct or consultative services, collaboration with families and school staff, and delivery of language, literacy, social-emotional skills, Deaf Culture, transition coaching, ASL instruction, and accommodations to access the educational environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Experience working with school-aged students.
• Meeting all hiring requirments

Responsibilities

• Provide direct or consultative services to the student and/or the student’s family.
• Services to be provided in the school, at home, and/or in the community.
• Support provided to the student, family, and/or school staff regarding: language and literacy; social and emotional skills and development; Deaf Culture; community experiences; transition coaching; self-advocacy; ASL instruction and/or storytelling; utilizing services and accommodations.
