Job summary

State-of-South-Carolina is seeking a paraeducator to support the classroom teacher in implementing IEPs for each student and to assist with daily classroom activities. The role involves helping prepare materials, monitoring student behavior, and supporting students with self-care needs on campus.

You will supervise students, assist with record keeping and communications, and help monitor schedules during lunch, field trips, and health center visits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Experience in education, child care, or behavior management preferred.
• Ability to follow teacher instructions and adapt to student needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing IEPs for students.
• Assist with classroom preparation and materials.
• Support behavior management per Code of Conduct.
• Assist with self-care needs (lifting as needed).
