Ampersand Therapy LLC is seeking a part-time Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher for a school setting in Ashland, VA. The role focuses on specialized instruction, collaboration with educators, and supporting student progress in communication, academics, and independence.

This position offers competitive pay up to $45/hour, a school-year schedule, and W-2 employment with benefits, licensure reimbursement, and mileage stipends for travel between sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or related field (Master’s preferred).
• Virginia state teaching certification and endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing (or eligibility).
• Experience with students who have hearing loss is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to adapt curriculum and strategies.
• Work with related service providers (e.g., audiologists, speech-language pathologists).
• Maintain documentation in accordance with IDEA and district policies.
