Job summary

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED (or 1–3 years related experience). The job requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 35 lbs, and wearing PPE. A weekly attendance bonus is offered to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; 1–3 years related experience or training, or equivalent combination.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Stand for extended periods; able to walk, reach up and down.
• Able to lift 35 lbs. and use a dead blow hammer to tighten machine screws.
• Must wear required PPE and maintain a safe work environment.
• Able to speak effectively to co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Operates cylinder extrusion presses, including loading metal plates and unloading cylinders produced.
• Performs dimensional and visual inspection of cylinders.
• Tracks hourly production, makes calculations, and records results.
