Job description

Description

Penn Power Group, LLC (a leading distributor of Detroit Diesel engines, Allison transmissions, and Carrier refrigeration) is seeking an experienced Heavy Duty Truck Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for inspecting and repairing heavy duty trucks, including preventative and non-scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and component/system replacement.

Requirements

You Have:

  1. Perform diagnostic, repair, and maintenance on trucks and construction equipment according to manufacturer specifications.
  2. Operate garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists, and jacking equipment safely.
  3. Identify and obtain necessary replacement parts to complete repairs.
  4. Follow manufacturer warranty policies and procedures.
  5. Analyze and resolve problems independently and safely.
  6. Work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Repair and adjust vehicle systems such as powertrain, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brakes, steering, hydraulics, including machine shop operations and alignments.
  8. Read and interpret technical manuals and data.
  9. Possess a Diesel Engine Technical degree or relevant training.
  10. Hold a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
  1. CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
  2. Minimum of three years' experience diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines.
  3. Own tools and maintain an excellent driving record.
  4. Demonstrate technical knowledge and problem-solving skills in diesel systems.
