Job summary

The Beatrice State Developmental Center (BSDC) is seeking a DD Safety and Habilitation Specialist to provide care and support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Join a dedicated team dedicated to helping people live better lives.

Under general supervision, you will deliver structured, therapeutic residential services, implement behavior support plans, monitor safety, and work with the State of Nebraska to maintain compliance and quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years old to work with adults; at least 21 to work with adolescents.
• Experience with DD/ID individuals preferred.
• Must complete a prescribed physical examination and state-approved medication aide course; pass written/clinical competency exams.

Responsibilities

• Provide residential care, custody and monitoring of individuals in homes designated for the developmentally disabled.
• Deliver specialized residential services for high-risk individuals, including habilitation and behavior support plans.
• Administer medications and follow nursing procedures; observe and record behavior and activities; implement approved interventions.
