Job summary

Terros Health in Phoenix seeks a DCS Stabilization Specialist to support foster care families and QRTPs, coordinate crisis response and develop individual service plans. You will participate in CFT meetings and provide crisis intervention when needed.

This full-time role requires a GED/HS diploma with BH experience or higher, a valid AZ driver’s license, CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days, and a willingness to work a 9:30am–6:00pm schedule with occasional after-hours coverage.

Qualifications

  • GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience, or an associate’s degree in the behavioral health field, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of behavioral health or Bachelor’s degree (not in the field of behavioral health) and one (1) year of behavioral health experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete weekly planned interventions and attend CFT meetings.
  • Respond to crisis calls to support individuals in DCS custody at risk of disruption.
  • Develop and document individual service plans and crisis plans.
  • Utilize person-centered planning and positive behavior support approaches.

Terros Health is looking for a professional and energetic DCS Stabilization Specialist, for the East or West Valley community!

Full-Time 40 hours

Shift: Monday - Friday 9:30am-6:00pm

Work day is scheduled around school hours, afterschool programs, with one weekend day and evening shift required.

GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience

Preferred DCS experience

Bilingual in Spanish is a PLUS (Additional Language Differential is Available)

Responsibilities

This individual is responsible for completing weekly planned interventions, attend CFT’s as scheduled and responding to crisis calls aimed to support individuals in DCS custody at risk of disruption, and support their families and caregivers.

Staff will assist with developing: individual service plans, emergency contact sheet and at risk crisis plans.

Staff utilize person centered planning; positive behavior support and Love and Logic parenting techniques.

Crisis Stabilization staff will complete a written assessment and document all coordination of care services.

  • Upon receiving a new referral, staff with contact the placement within 24 hours and the DCS Case manager within 48 hours.
  • Actively fosters positive relationship with key stakeholders including families, DCS, RBHA, QSPs and others as evidenced by attending meetings and other events when required.
  • Meet with foster care families and GHs as necessary to develop rapport, trust and understanding of particular family dynamics.
  • Works collaboratively with Child and Family Team to develop crisis prevention plans.
  • Provide support, education and recommendations to foster care families and QRTPs to help them understand the possible causes of crises and what approaches would be helpful to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Qualifications
  • GED/High school diploma with a minimum of 1.5 years of behavioral health experience, or an associate’s degree in the behavioral health field, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in the field of behavioral health or Bachelor’s degree (not in the field of behavioral health) and one (1) year of behavioral health experience.
  • Must have valid Arizona driver’s license, be 21 years of age with minimum 4 years driving experience and meet requirements of Terros Health’s driving policy.
  • Must have or be able to attain CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days of assuming role.
  • Must have a valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card or apply for an Arizona fingerprint clearance card (Level1) within 7 working days of assuming role.
  • Must pass background check, TB test and other pre‑employment screening
