Job summary

LAMP in Liberty, Texas, is seeking an experienced Process Operations Specialist to run the plant from the control room. This is among the most technically demanding hourly roles, where console competence is built during commissioning.

You will operate the DCS within the approved envelope, execute batch sequences and monitor critical parameters. A twelve-hour rotating shift is required, and you will mentor field operators toward console qualification.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of process operations experience.
• At least two years of experience on a DCS console.
• Willingness to work a twelve-hour rotating shift.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the process from the DCS within the approved operating envelope and respond to alarms.
• Execute batch sequences, phase transitions, and grade changes.
• Monitor and trend critical process parameters and take corrective action.
• Coordinate field operators and prepare equipment for maintenance.
• Execute startup, shutdown and emergency shutdown procedures.
• Support commissioning, loop checks, and dry runs.
• Mentor field operators toward console qualification.
