Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience as a law enforcement officer.
• A Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related fields may be substituted for the General Experience.
• Knowledge of relevant state laws and regulations.
• Investigative methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Screens, reviews, prioritizes and prepares incoming motor vehicle and criminal files.
• Ensures that all case file information necessary for prosecution is complete.
• Interviews and takes statements from police, witnesses, and victims.
• Obtains relevant documentation (e.g. police reports, hospital records, toxicology reports).
• Locates individuals and prepares case chronology for prosecutor.
• Briefs victims and witnesses prior to court appearances.
