Job summary

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) in Minnesota is seeking a DCD Special Education Teacher to join our staff and serve K-12 students in a dynamic school setting. You will develop and implement IEPs, collaborate with families and staff, and contribute to a nurturing classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Teaching license with endorsements in Special Education.
• Experience working with K-12 children.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each student.
• Communicate with staff and families about each student's progress and challenges.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit them to administrators for approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to support student growth.
• Invite family members to participate in each student's educational progress.
• Create and distribute progress reports quarterly.
• Consult with on-site therapists regarding disciplinary and behavioral issues.
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment.
