DC Truck Driver- Memphis/Delta (Finance)



Safely transport goods to stores and customers for the distribution trucking company. Perform all tasks safely, adhering to corporate policies and state and federal laws. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum qualifications include:

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Ability to travel independently
  • Proficiency in following written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions
  • Problem-solving skills in standardized situations
  • Excellent customer service skills to make customers feel valued
  • Ability to read and interpret safety and operational documents
  • Effective communication skills for presentations and reports
  • Valid Commercial Class A CDL license
  • Must meet all DOT physical requirements for Class A CDL drivers
  • Knowledge of trucking terminology and processes
  • Ability to safely back 53' trailers into docks or vendor locations
  • Experience operating over-the-road tractors, refrigeration units, dollies, and pallet jacks
  • At least 1 year of active driving experience, including doubles experience or equivalent

Preferred previous experience:

  • One year of tractor/trailer driving experience

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving to deliver goods to stores and customers

  • Checking refrigeration trailers for malfunctions
  • Weighing loads and unloading merchandise
  • Picking up goods from vendors and verifying loads
  • Working flexible shifts, including weekends
  • Performing basic calculations and interpreting data as required
