Position Overview

We are hiring a Distribution Center (“DC”) Transportation Supervisor to support our expansion and provide exceptional service to our branches. This role is onsite at our third-party managed DC in Goodyear, AZ.

What You'll Do

1. Support inbound and outbound freight across all modes (Parcel, LTL, Truckload, Intermodal, Private/Dedicated Fleet).
2. Communicate proactively with SiteOne branch locations regarding transportation updates.
3. Support routing and replenishment activities for branches serviced by the DC.
4. Act as the communication point for the Transportation team, notifying branches of delays or issues.
5. Work with Carrier and Fleet Partners to manage driver utilization, hours of service, and capacity.
6. Identify opportunities to maximize trailer utilization, reduce miles, and improve efficiency.
7. Investigate and resolve branch needs related to carrier performance.
8. Coordinate with branches, category teams, buyers, and sales on transportation needs.
9. Define and improve shipping processes and procedures.
10. Identify opportunities to enhance service levels and reduce costs.
11. Track and trace domestic shipments across multiple modes using a Transportation Management System (TMS).
12. Travel periodically for training, onboarding, and team events.

Location

The DC Transportation Supervisor reports to the Senior Transportation Manager and is based in Goodyear, AZ.

Skills We Are Seeking

1. 3+ years of experience in transportation planning, distribution, or logistics roles in retail or wholesale.
2. Experience with SaaS-based TMS solutions (e.g., e2open, BluJay) is a plus.
3. Proven track record of providing excellent customer service.
4. Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups, charts); advanced analytics skills are a plus.
5. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
6. Experience working with carriers, brokers, and dedicated fleets.
7. Experience in green distribution, landscaping, irrigation, nursery, or related industries is a plus.
8. 4-year degree or equivalent industry experience required.
