Job summary

Grainger is seeking a Maintenance Technician onsite in Fountain Inn, SC, to complete preventive maintenance and repairs on automated material handling systems. You will report to a Facilities Supervisor and work a 4x10 schedule.

You will troubleshoot conveyors, perform PLC programming changes when authorized, and operate distribution center equipment. Safety, LOTO, and NEC/OSHA compliance are required, with on-call rotation in the job scope.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years of building and equipment maintenance with two years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyor systems.
• 2+ years of experience with AC drives (setup, programming, faults).
• Experience reading and interpreting Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system issues involving conveyors and controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, Hardware, and Software).
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of conveyors and building systems.
• Design, implement, and document PLC programming changes when authorized.
• Operate all material handling and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center.
• Be able to work at heights and be available for 24-hour on-call rotation.

Compensation

This position is hourly. The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $27.46 and $36.64

Position details

Maintenance Technicianscomplete preventive maintenance tasks and routine repairs on automated material handling system components to support the goals of the Distribution Center.You will report to aFacilitiesSupervisor.

Shift

Monday to Thursday (4x10 schedule) - 1:30pm to midnight.

Additional responsibilities

• Respond to system issues involving conveyors, PIE,sortationand controls (EMS, WCS, Sort Director, EWM, Hardware, and Software)
• Basic troubleshooting/diagnostic and repairofmechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and control system components of the conveyor system and building components, including PLCs, DC drivers, AC invertors,linear motors, VFDs,encoders,scanners,powerdistribution, communication systems,computer-controlledbuilding systems, conveyor systems and maintenance management system (CMMS)
• Be a subject matter expert for conveyors, cross belt system, Dematic Multi Shuttle System/Goods to Person System
• Operate all material handling and mobile equipment within the Distribution Center
• Work at heights and in unusual positions
• Must be available for 24-hour on-callrotation
• Knowledge and application of safe work practices,lockout/tagout (LOTO)standards and Arc Flash
• Followcodes,such as the NEC,BOCAand UBC, MSDS and OSHA
• Design, implement, and document PLC (Siemens, Allen Bradley) programming changes to automated equipment whenauthorized
• Troubleshoot, and implement changes to I/O device networks such as Probus, Data Highway, andCanBus

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+years of building and equipment maintenance with two years maintaining Dematic or similar conveyorsystems
• 2+ years of experience with AC drives (set-up, programming, faults)
• Familiaritywith Microsoftand CMMS programs
• Experience with power distribution, power generation, control circuits,electrical test equipment, hand tools, power tools, calipers, and gauges
• Experience reading and interpreting Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing (MEO) drawings andschematics
• Canfrequentlylift, push, and slide packages typicallyweighing50-75lbs.
• Successful completion of Maintenance skill evaluation
