Job summary

Mercer, a Marsh business, seeks a talented Defined Contribution consultant to join the DC team in a hybrid role, with in-office requirements three days per week in the Central zone. You will present plan reviews, grow client relationships, and leverage AI tools to support advisory and OCIO engagements.

You will bring 4+ years of DC retirement plan experience, strong fiduciary knowledge, and excellent presentation skills to design, implement and oversee client solutions while expanding Mercer’s

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience providing investment advice and retirement plan consulting.
• Strong understanding of the defined contribution landscape including fiduciary topics, investments, plan design trends, administrative practices, employee engagement and retirement readiness trends.
• Ability to develop new ideas to solve client problems and improve team efficiency.
• Track record building intellectual capital for business development and client delivery.
• Strong presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Present plan and investment review reports to clients for advisory and OCIO engagements.
• Retain and grow a book of business by developing long-term relationships with clients and decision makers.
• Thrive in an environment that embraces AI and technology-enabled tools.
• Serve as the subject matter expert on defined contribution topics for plan design, investment advisory, and delegated OCIO services.
• Conduct plan document/SPD, operational and compliance reviews; demonstrate strategic plan design knowledge.
• Oversee RFP/RFI marketing process, strategy and transition; present results to clients.
• Demonstrate broad DC landscape understanding and identify client needs to shape a scope of services.
• Ensure timely delivery and accuracy of all client work; maintain compliance and professional standards.
• Cultivate new business through networks, events and conferences; assist sales in opportunities.
• Participate in sales activity and assist other consultants in developing opportunities.
