Job summary

MP Nexlevel, LLC seeks an Operations Manager to oversee data center, telecom, and connectivity infrastructure initiatives. Responsibilities include enforcing standards, leading a diverse team, and driving efficiency across networks and field operations.

Qualifications

  • Experience in data center, mission-critical, telecom, fiber, structured cabling, or connectivity infrastructure preferred.

  • Provide safety training as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

  • Enforce all Company, OSHA and other applicable procedures and standards
  • Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze operational metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement.
  • Optimize supply chain processes and manage relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Implement systems and processes to improve productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead and mentor our team of professionals by setting clear goals, providing regular feedback, and developing their skills.
  • Handle escalated customer issues and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Prepare and present reports on operational activities and performance metrics to senior management.
  • Manage resources such as personnel, equipment (owned and rented), and materials to ensure they are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Direct oversight, training and development of crew
  • Know the contract scope including standard and special provisions, technical specifications, and scheduling milestones
  • Purchasing, reporting, and approval authority as defined in MP Authority Matrix
  • Complete all administrative documentation in a timely and accurate manner (safety audits and observations, final review of production, manage change orders, prepare bills for accounting)
  • Promptly complete authorization of all invoices, receipts, and fuel charges
  • Improve personal, technical, and supervisory skills through personal development plans and offered trainings
  • Represent and promote the company’s mission, vision, and values
  • Safety training as required by position
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Data Center, Telecom, and Connectivity Infrastructure Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational oversight for fiber infrastructure, structured cabling, outside plant, inside plant, network deployment, pathway, rack, cabinet, and related connectivity work as applicable.
  • Understand and enforce customer site requirements commonly found in data center and mission-critical environments, including access control, security procedures, housekeeping, documentation, safety expectations, and work-area coordination.

Essential Education and Qualifications:

  • High School education or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Valid DOT health card
  • Previous utility construction experience and management experience
  • Data center, mission-critical, telecom, fiber, structured cabling, or connectivity infrastructure experience preferred
  • Understanding of outside plant, inside plant, network deployment, pathway, rack, cabinet, fiber, or low-voltage connectivity work preferred
  • Strong organizational and leadership abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team
