Job summary

Novolex, a leading packaging manufacturer, seeks a Distribution Supervisor to deploy customer orders to the Distribution Center shop floor, manage resource capacity in the WMS, and prevent bottlenecks while maintaining Customer Service Levels.

You will supervise Lift Truck Operators, coordinate with site leadership, and drive efficiency by monitoring wave planning, replenishment, picking, and shipping tasks, ensuring timely loads and accurate schedules.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree preferred or 3–5 years distribution/warehouse logistics experience.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS); JDA (Red Prairie) a plus.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning Systems (ERP); SAP a plus.
• Self-directed with proactive issue resolution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and understand automated distribution.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach Lift Truck Operators on the same shift.
• Monitor WMS/WCS to assess workflow efficiency.
• Coordinate daily workflow with Site Leadership Team and Lift Truck staff.
• Identify inefficiencies in replenishment, picking, put-away, and shipping.
• Monitor order queue and balance labor, equipment and tasks.
• Ensure timely completion of waves and tasks in WMS/WCS.
• Plan and release cross-dock opportunities and HOT inbound shipments.
• Maintain flow of automation traffic control and AGV tasking.
• Update shipping schedules and communicate status to shifts.
