Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Puller for our distribution center in Ohio. You will use cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to retrieve and consolidate freight, move orders to induction lanes, and place inbound freight in proper locations for later retrieval to stores.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in warehouse work, can perform basic math, and thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety and accuracy daily.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a puller, you will be responsible for using equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to retrieve and consolidate freight in the distribution center. Pullers will retrieve warehouse orders and move them to the proper induction lanes so the cargo can go to the stores. They will also locate warehouse locations to put away inbound freight so that it can be later retrieved to send to the stores.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external customer support while assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and

• Use an RF scan gun to scan cases, master loads, and locations as needed.
• Ability to ensure that freight is going to the proper location.
• Ability to check and maintain proper documentation in the warehouse management system.
• Required to accurately follow various inbound, outbound, and freight relocation operations processes.
• Ensure the freight is stacked securely before moving the pallet.
• Ensure quality and production KPI goals are met daily, weekly, and monthly.
• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least one year of warehouse/manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
