Job summary

Rural King is seeking a puller for our distribution center in Michigan. You will operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to retrieve and consolidate freight, moving orders to the proper induction lanes for store delivery.

You’ll locate inbound freight locations and ensure accurate placement for later retrieval. Ideal candidates have 1+ year in warehouse/manufacturing, strong teamwork, and attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• At least one year of warehouse/manufacturing experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Ability to interact with the team in a fast-paced environment, remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.
• Ability to count and perform basic math.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a puller, you will be responsible for using equipment such as cherry pickers, reach trucks, and forklifts to retrieve and consolidate freight in the distribution center. Pullers will retrieve warehouse orders and move them to the proper induction lanes so the cargo can go to the stores. They will also locate warehouse locations to put away inbound freight so that it can be later retrieved to send to the stores.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND EXPECTATIONS

• Use an RF scan gun to scan cases, master loads, and locations as needed.


• Ability to ensure that freight is going to the proper location.

• Required to accurately follow various inbound, outbound, and freight relocation operations processes.


• Ensure the freight is stacked securely before moving the pallet.


• Ensure quality and production KPI goals are met daily, weekly, and monthly.


• Follow safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.


• Perform other duties as assigned.
