Job summary

Eaton Corporation seeks a Power System Modeling Principal Engineer to define and advance modeling strategies for DC distribution and converter-driven architectures. Responsibilities include building scalable models in PSCAD and Simulink, coordinating tools like PSS/E and DIgSILENT, and supporting system-level validation with real-time platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Electronics.
• 15+ years in power systems modeling (EMT, system-level analysis).
• Experience with multiple power system simulation tools and HIL platforms.

Responsibilities

• Define, own, and advance the enterprise modeling strategy for DC distribution and converter-driven architectures.
• Develop multidomain simulation frameworks and governance.
• Collaborate with Chief Power System Engineers, Applications Engineering, System Architects, and MBE teams.
• Define simulation structures for electrical, thermal, mechanical, and other multidomain interactions.
• Build scalable model structures and reusable libraries in PSCAD and Simulink/Simscape Electrical.
• Lead multitool modeling workflows across tools to ensure cross-tool fidelity.
