Job summary

Vertiv Corporation seeks a Product Engineer to serve as the customer-facing technical authority for the Data Center DC Power portfolio. You will translate customer requirements into engineering specifications and lead technical activities across Sales, Service and Account Management.

You will own one product segment (800V Sidecar Solutions, 800V Power Center Solutions, In-Rack Shelves & Solutions) and collaborate with Product Management on strategy, questions, and roadmap input.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Systems Engineering.
• 5–7 years experience (2–4 years for exceptional candidates).
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Self-directed with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficient generating schematics, block diagrams, and technical illustrations.
• Respond quickly and accurately to technical support tasks.
• Engage directly with customers at all levels.
• Strong analytical thinking to evaluate customer applications.
• Knowledge of UL, IEC, NEC, and NFPA 855.
• Understand electrical and mechanical design elements for power infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Gather and translate customer requirements into inputs for development teams.
• Lead RFQ proposals including schematics, diagrams, and MCAD/ECAD files.
• Support design reviews and ensure alignment with customer needs.
• Create user manuals, guides, submittal packages, and technical bulletins.
• Deliver product training to Sales, Service, and Manufacturing.
• Provide field support and liaison between customers and Engineering.
• Share market feedback to drive development via stage-gate processes.
• Collaborate with Product Management on strategy and roadmap input.
• Support trade shows, site visits, and technical presentations.
• Maintain BOM structure and NPDI deliverables.
