Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, LLC in Grand Prairie, TX is seeking a Shift Pipe Yard Associate to safely operate forklifts and yard equipment, receive and stock materials, and prepare customer orders for shipment. This role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced outdoor yard environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work overtime and extended hours as required.
• Comfortable working outdoors, physically active, able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive movements.
• Prior warehouse, yard, or distribution experience preferred.
• Experience operating powered industrial equipment (forklifts or similar) preferred.
• Readiness to learn distribution technology such as RF scanners.
• Regular and reliable attendance; ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Commitment to safety policies and PPE.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other yard powered industrial equipment to move, load, and unload pipe and materials.
• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials for accuracy and quality.
• Stock, organize, and maintain yard inventory to ensure efficient material flow.
• Accurately pick, stage, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
• Prioritize daily tasks to meet shipping timelines and support operational needs.
• Maintain product accuracy, quality, and safety by following standard operating procedures.
• Keep the yard clean, organized, and hazard‑free.
• Follow all safety procedures, OSHA standards, and company policies at all times.
• Participate in safety observations, audits, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with team members to support a collaborative work environment.

Location: Grand Prairie, TX – 1st Shift (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM‑5:00 PM). This role focuses on safe, accurate, and reliable material handling in a yards environment.
