Job summary

Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a senior operations leader to oversee Firearms inventory selection and order processing, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and top customer service in a fast-paced environment.

You will collaborate with DC Operations, Merchant teams, and Store Operations to plan staffing, manage high-volume workflows, maintain records, and uphold safety, compliance, and company policies while guiding a team to perform confidently.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related work experience, including 3+ years of management experience
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and RF-managed inventory
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across shifts and divisions
• Effective communication skills, including active listening, verbal, and written communication
• Analytical skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to oversee multiple projects and coordinate competing priorities

Responsibilities

• Oversee all Firearms inventory selection and order processing operations with accuracy and strong customer service.
• Lead initiatives to enhance workflow, reduce costs, and support operational improvements.
• Collaborate with operational leaders to prepare staffing plans and meet volume demands.
• Maintain records and ensure compliance with policies, safety rules, and standards.
• Work with DC Operations, Merchant teams, and Store Operations to keep fulfillment on track.
