Job summary

ContextGlobal, Inc. is seeking on-site ASL interpreters to support our clients across Washington, DC. This is an in-person position with assignments at client sites in the District.

Interpreters facilitate communication between ASL and English, understand cultural and linguistic differences, and work in educational, corporate, and community settings. Applicants may be certified or non-certified; clearance may be required for some assignments.

Qualifications

• Completion of an Interpreter Training Program (prefer accredited programs).
• At least two years of experience as an ASL interpreter.
• Proficient signing and voicing skills.
• Strong knowledge of educational, corporate, and community vocabulary, ASL, and Deaf culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective communication facilitation between multiple parties, working to and from ASL and English.
• Understand cultural and linguistic differences between communities and respond accordingly.
