Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of relevant engineering experience, including internships or co-op experience.
• Experience with 3D CAD tools, preferably SolidWorks.
• Foundational understanding of mechanical design, electromechanical systems, tolerances, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Interest in developing expertise in DC motors, brush motors, brushless DC motors, drives, gearboxes, encoders, brakes, lead screws, and integrated motor systems.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret test results and use data to support engineering decisions.
• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Curiosity, initiative, and desire to grow in a hands-on technical engineering role.

Responsibilities

• Support the design, analysis, and improvement of DC motors, motor components, and related motion-control products.
• Create and update CAD models, drawings, specifications, test plans, and engineering documentation.
• Assist with prototype builds, product testing, troubleshooting, and design validation.
• Use test data, customer requirements, and manufacturing feedback to recommend design improvements.
• Support new product introduction and sustaining engineering activities.
• Assist with manufacturability improvements, product cost reduction, material evaluations, and production support.
• Work with senior engineers, designers, technicians, and cross-functional teams to solve technical problems.
• Support engineering change processes and maintain accurate product documentation.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards, test methods, and design practices.
