Join to apply for the DC Materials Handler - Inbound role at O'Reilly Auto Parts

Perform proper handling of incoming product to ensure accurate and available inventory. Follow all tasks according to best practice procedures.

Essential Job Functions
  1. Maintain safety standards while operating and identify unsafe practices and situations.
  2. Unload merchandise from trailers, containers, and trucks.
  3. Match skid or box counts to Proof of Delivery documentation, noting discrepancies.
  4. Place skids on or near the dock, remove packing lists, and document Vendor Compliance issues; remove parts and place in designated areas as necessary.
  5. Receive products on assigned batches, stock from vendors, store returns, warehouse transfers, UPS or other small package shipments.
  6. Place products in storage locations, from floor level to ceiling height, using appropriate equipment.
  7. Research discrepancies, confirm corrections, and close batches to release products to inventory.
  8. Follow instructions to retrieve and replace products from reserve locations, with or without equipment.
  9. Train new team members and convey procedural changes as a designated trainer.
  10. Perform all other duties as assigned.
Skills, Education, and Experience

Required:

  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to pass a standardized test
  • Teamwork skills
  • Ability to read and match numerical and alphabetical characters quickly and accurately

Desired:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience in warehouse environments, especially with alphanumeric or RF stocking
  • Familiarity with automotive parts
  • Advanced computer skills
  • Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish
