Job summary

Church & Dwight is seeking a DC Material Handler for the Fostoria, OH facility, with Thursday/Friday 7:30am-3:30pm and Saturday-Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm shifts. Loads and unloads, builds pick pallets, and uses WMS to fulfill customer orders while maintaining safety and quality.

You will operate forklifts, assemble pallets, and interact with carriers and customers professionally. A high school diploma and forklift experience are required, with WMS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads trailers and containers accurately and to specification.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

DC Material Handler working schedule is for Shift 988 Weekend #3: Thursday & Friday 7:30am-3:30pm; Saturday & Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm The hourly wage / salary range for this position is $27.50 plus shift premium if applicable Come join our Fostoria, OH facility where we manufacture products such as A&H Baking Soda, A&H Cat Litter, and A&H Unit Dose Detergent!

ROLE SUMMARY:

To load and unload finished goods, stock transfer orders, and transfers to Church & Dwight customers and outside Distribution Centers, build pick pallets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Operates sit down, stand up and pallet riders proficiently.
• Loads and unloads trailers and containers accurately and to specification.
• Builds pick pallets to pick list.
• Maintains necessary paperwork with a high degree of accuracy.
• Performs daily preventive maintenance inspections.
• Maintains a clean department by sweeping and dumping trash at the end of each shift.
• Works with Church & Dwight carriers and customers in a highly professional manner.
• Must be proficient in WMS to load or unload trucks in a timely manner.
• Read and understand the pick list by quantity, product type, lot codes, and product version codes to fill the customer’s order
• Operate stretch wrapper to secure load on pallet
• Familiar with the plant food safety program and basic HACCP principles
• Work any shift during the week as well as weekends
• Use safe operating procedures and judgment
• Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner.
• Follow all facility rules to maintain quality and integrity of both raw materials and finished products
• Lift 50 pounds consistently

MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED is required
• Minimum of six months of forklift experience
• WMS experience is preferred
• Working knowledge of material handling equipment
