Job summary

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. is seeking a Utility Operator - Days at the Old Fort, OH facility. You will perform housekeeping and ancillary tasks across the plant while supporting Bi-Carb operations with safe forklift use.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED and forklift experience; manufacturing/industrial background is preferred. You will follow HACCP and safety procedures in clean, efficient production areas.

Responsibilities

• Performs housekeeping and janitorial duties in departments and loading areas.
• Cleans trays and dryer components, with confined space entry and fall protection.
• Sets up the plant cafeteria for meetings, training, and events.
• Assembles Cat Litter Display pallets per Customer Orders.
• Re-stack and palletize up to 50 lb units to meet customer requirements.
• Transporting bagged raw materials for Bi-Carb operations.
• Grounds keeping duties including mowing, snow removal and painting.
• Trains to fill in for other departments during absences.
• Operates forklift safely and in a timely manner.
• Work any shift during the week as well as weekends.

• The hourly wage / salary range for this position is $22.80 Come join our Old Fort, OH facility where we manufacture products such as A&H Baking Soda, A&H Cat Litter, and A&H Unit Dose Detergent!

ROLE SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing various housekeeping and ancillary functions for the plant.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs housekeeping or janitorial duties to include sweeping, shoveling, and cleaning of departments and RBC floors of baking soda or other residue including loading docks and pertinent outside areas.
• Performs cleaning & scraping of trays in the dryer units during the bi-weekly column wash. Involves confined space entry and working at heights with fall protection.
• Sets up the plant cafeteria for plant manager's meetings, training sessions, and other plant activities.
• Assembles Cat Litter Display pallets as dictated by Customer Orders.
• Re-stack and/or re-palletize up to 50lb. units as necessary to meet customer requirements.
• Transporting (Lifting & Carrying) bagged raw materials for use in Bi-Carb operations
• Grounds keeping duties to include but not limited to mowing, trimming, snow removal and interior / exterior painting.
• Sort pallets by lifting and removing unusable pallets.
• Trains for other department's positions to become qualified to fill-in for short and long-term absences.
• Performs numerous non-routine duties as assigned.
• Work any shift during the week as well as weekends
• Operate forklift in a safe and timely manner.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of a High School Diploma / GED is required
• Six months forklift experience preferred
• Manufacturing/Industrial experience required
