Job summary

Orgill in Tifton, GA is seeking a Department Material Handler to support the distribution center by sorting, scanning, staging and wrapping merchandise. You will ensure items are loaded and checked in the correct sequence by customer stop code and communicate any changes to transportation.

The role requires reading and following truck load forecasts, operating a handheld scanner and obtaining power equipment certifications (electric pallet jack, walkie/rider, forklift).

Qualifications

• Must read truck loading forecast summaries.
• Able to set up a truck run by load forecast summary.
• Able to identify and sort by customer stop code.
• Able to operate a handheld scanner.
• Capable of obtaining power equipment certifications (electric power jack, walker/rider, forklift).
• High School diploma preferred.
• Excellent attendance and reliable predictability a must.

Responsibilities

• Read truck loading forecast summary.
• Set up a truck run by truck load forecast summary.
• Identify and sort by customer stop code.
• Operate a handheld scanner.
• Stack pallets appropriately to avoid customer service issues.
• Load and secure products.
