Job summary

The Home Depot in a warehouse environment seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to oversee, maintain, and repair equipment and facility structures. This role requires strong troubleshooting abilities for electric lift equipment and conveyors, plus mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic knowledge.

The ideal candidate will have at least a trade school degree or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience.

Position Purpose:

Oversees, maintains, and repairs equipment as well as other facility structures in a complex, warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• 50% Troubleshoots and repairs electric lift equipment, conveyor systems, as well as technical, mechanical hydraulic and pheumatic issues where needed. Understands and troubleshoots conveyor operating system logic
• 20% Performs preventative maintenance as well as necessary modifications on electric lift equipment, conveyor systems and buildings.
• 10% Provides equipment status report, including details of unusual maintenance problems.
• 10% Follows all safety guidelines established by manufacturer, Home Depot, or government agencies. Adheres to all safety codes and OSHA standards
• 10% Maintains safe and clean working environment, performing daily cleanup of work areas

Direct Manager/Direct Reports:

• This position reports to Area Supervisor.
• This position has 0 direct reports.

Travel Requirements:

• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).

Working Conditions:

• Typically in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors such as temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noise, and fumes which cause noticeable discomfort or a moderate risk of accident or illness.
