Job summary

Jobtailor in Houston, TX is seeking an Inventory and Logistics Associate responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording all incoming inventory, maintaining accurate records, and preparing shipments.

You will perform stock counts, coordinate with suppliers, handle packaging, assist with server rack setup, and collaborate with cross-functional teams while following safety protocols.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in logistics, inventory management, or related fields.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and software.
• Proficiency in using basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word).
• Ability to do basic math calculations, with and without a calculator.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedural documents.
• Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and the use of material handling equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper documentation for all items received and shipped.
• Perform regular stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to schedule inbound and outbound shipments.
• Prepare shipping documents, labels, and packaging for outgoing shipments.
• Upload, unpack, and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and completeness.
• Transport inventory by hand using material handling equipment (i.e., pallet jacks).
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including storage areas and shipping/receiving docks.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill inventory and logistics needs.
• Assist in the setup and installation of computer server racks.
• Help in the assembly of server racks by following diagrams and guidelines.
