The District of Columbia Government is seeking a Survey Analyst in the Office of the Surveyor within the Department of Buildings. You will work with GIS software and AutoCAD, supervise junior staff, coordinate with private surveyors, and verify land records to determine boundaries.

Qualifikationen

• Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position and the duties. At least one year at the next lower grade level is required.
• Degree: land surveying; or civil engineering with surveying option/emphasis, with specific course requirements.
• Combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

• Responds to complex subdivision requests by the public, development, or surveying community and determines if allowable by law.
• Reviews drafting jobs and surveying computations to establish or amend geometric parameters for land and permits.
• Oversees lower-level Survey Analysts and Engineering Technicians, drafts building plats for permits when needed.
• Uses GIS and other techniques to collect data, compute dimensions, and adjust land areas.
