KETTLER currently has an opening for a General Community Manager at Dock 79 Resident and Maren, apartment communities in Washington, DC. The role oversees all on-site operations, leasing, and team leadership to deliver exceptional resident experiences.

With 4+ years in property management and 2+ years supervising staff, the candidate will manage budgets, supervise maintenance, and ensure compliance with landlord-tenant laws.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience in the property management field.
• 2+ years’ supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Computer Proficiency and knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrated Leadership ability and proven track record of success with the leasing process.
• Must be able to work on the weekends.
• Experience with property management software.
• Must be able to walk apartments and grounds, including steps and climbing stairs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with residents and customers in a professional manner.
• Strong financial analysis, budgeting, and P&L management skills.
• Working knowledge of applicable Landlord Tenant Laws, Fair Housing mandates and other legal issues affecting property management.
• Experience with unit and common area renovations.
• DC Property Manager Licence must be obtained with 90 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Manage administration of property operations and leasing office.
• Monitor financial operations and achieve budgeted NOI.
• Provide a quality living environment for residents and a positive work environment for team members.
• Hire and supervise on-site staff, including maintenance staff.
• Ensure apartments and grounds are maintained to company standards.
• Ensure rent is collected on time and address delinquencies per policy.
• Contribute to leasing benchmarks and resident retention.
• Support outreach initiatives that market the property.
• Mentor others to understand the sub-market.
• Lead by example to maintain a high-performing, customer-focused team.
• Contribute to resident satisfaction and property goals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
