Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting in the DC area is seeking an accomplished Civil Engineering Manager to drive and expand the firm's land development presence. This leadership role offers a path to shape growth, mentor engineers, and deliver value to clients while building a broader DC footprint.

You will oversee business development, manage select projects, review proposals and contracts, and lead a team through hiring and training.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of civil engineering experience in land development.
• Experience at the Project Manager or Senior Project Manager level, with leadership background preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Responsibilities

• Drive business development efforts, regularly networking to attract new projects and expand the firm’s DC presence.
• Prepare and review proposals, contracts, revenue projections, and business reports for civil engineering projects.
• Oversee select land development projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.
• Lead group operations, including team training, mentorship, and hiring.
• Attend hearings, planning meetings, and relevant industry events to position the group for continued success.
