Job summary

White-Recruitment is seeking a DC Battery Field Service Technician in New London, CT. This field-based role supports industrial power plants across New England, New York and Pennsylvania, with extensive travel and overtime.

The position offers a competitive hourly pay of about $25/hour, overtime guarantees, company-paid hotels and meals during overnight travel, and opportunities for long-term technical development within a growing division.

Qualifications

• Experience or education in electronics, DC power or battery systems.
• Wet cell, industrial battery, rectifier, inverter or battery charger experience desirable.
• Willingness to undertake extensive travel and regular overnight stays.
• Physically capable of handling and replacing heavy batteries.
• Valid driver’s licence and good customer-facing skills.
• Eager to undertake on-the-job and product-specific training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, maintain and replace industrial battery systems and wet cells.
• Service DC power equipment including battery chargers, rectifiers and inverters.
• Perform preventative maintenance, cleaning and battery system testing.
• Support custom installations and larger industrial power projects.
• Carry out heavy lifting and physical field work safely.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report potential concerns.
• Work independently and alongside other field technicians.
• Maintain company-issued tools, equipment and technical documentation.
• Complete field service reports, timecards and expense reports accurately.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal teams.
• Identify additional battery or service opportunities where appropriate.
• Attend product-specific technical training.
