Job summary

MCN Build in Washington, DC is seeking a Preconstruction Manager with 8 years of estimating experience focused on mechanical construction to lead preconstruction activities, cost management, and client relations.

You will produce estimates at design milestones, assess material costs, oversee bid processes, and coordinate with the Project Executive to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Construction, or related field.
• 8 years of estimating experience with a concentration in mechanical construction.
• Knowledge of building construction materials, systems and trade practices.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preconstruction phases of projects and coordinate with the Project Executive.
• Produce progress estimates at design milestones and manage take-offs.
• Evaluate material and system costs and oversee subcontractor/supplier bidding.
• Maintain client relations and ensure alignment with schedule and cost parameters.
