Job summary

Verus Mortgage Capital seeks a Business Analyst to bridge business stakeholders, mortgage operations, and technology partners to identify, evaluate, and implement technology and AI-driven solutions across the non-Agency mortgage lifecycle within LO systems.

Responsibilities include discovering outcomes, evaluating processes, and leveraging AI/automation. The role requires mortgage expertise, strong BA skills, and a proactive, forward-thinking approach to technology-enabled optimization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
• 5+ years as a Business Analyst, Project Analyst, Product Analyst, Systems Analyst, or related role.
• 3+ years of mortgage industry experience in non-Agency, Non-QM, Jumbo, Correspondent, Wholesale, or Capital Markets environments.
• Experience leading or supporting technology implementation projects.
• Experience with workflow automation, AI, machine learning, large language models, or intelligent process automation.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and technology teams to identify opportunities to improve, automate, or eliminate manual processes across the mortgage lifecycle within LO System(s).
• Lead discovery discussions focused on goals and outcomes rather than documenting existing processes.
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage ServiceNow, AI, automation, and emerging technologies to solve business challenges.
• Assess current-state processes and recommend scalable, technology-driven solutions that improve efficiency, accuracy, and user experience.
• Develop business cases and help evaluate value, feasibility, and impact of proposed technology initiatives.
