Tiny Tree Counseling & Consulting, LLC in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a contracted hybrid DBT Therapist to provide individual DBT-informed therapy, co-facilitate skills groups, and maintain timely clinical documentation.
You will conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and update treatment plans, collaborate with insurers and referral sources, participate in DBT consultation teams, and contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive clinical environment.
Company Description Tiny Tree Counseling & Consulting, LLC is a Minnesota-based practice specializing in adherent Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), with services focused on therapy, consultation, and clinical supervision. Founded by a DBT-Linehan Board of Certification Certified Clinician™, Tiny Tree’s DHS-certified Adult DBT Program supports people experiencing intense emotions and longstanding behavioral patterns through practical skills in distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and relationship effectiveness. The practice is intentionally structured to prevent clinician burnout by maintaining reasonable caseloads, fair compensation, and a supportive team culture. Tiny Tree prioritizes access by accepting major insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare, and by locating its services in Minneapolis, MN, where certified DBT programs are limited. The team values grounded, collaborative, and human-centered work, supporting clinicians who want to provide high-quality DBT without building a practice from the ground up.
Role Description This is a contracted DBT Therapist role in a hybrid setting based in Minneapolis, MN, with a combination of in-person sessions and some work from home. The DBT Therapist will provide individual DBT-informed therapy, co-facilitate DBT skills groups, and complete clinical documentation in a timely and adherent manner. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and updating treatment plans, and using DBT strategies such as skills training, behavioral analysis, and crisis planning. The therapist will participate in DBT consultation team meetings, collaborate with colleagues and external providers, and contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive clinical environment. Additional tasks may include communicating with insurers or referral sources, engaging in ongoing training and supervision, and supporting practice initiatives that improve access and quality of care.
