Job summary

Interclypse, a Maryland-based technology firm, is seeking a DBMS Systems Analyst to join our team supporting state agencies. You will define file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific applications, and develop backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's Degree in CS or related fields and at least 3 years of DBMS experience, plus familiarity with current DBMS technologies and internals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or other relevant technical degrees.
• 3 years experience in DBMS systems analysis and programming.
• 1 year of experience in using current DBMS technologies, application design utilizing various database management systems, and experience with DBMS internals.

Responsibilities

• Defining file organization, indexing methods, and security procedures for specific user applications;
• Developing, implementing, and maintaining database back-up and recovery procedures for the processing environments; and
• Ensuring that data integrity, security, and recoverability are built into the DBMS applications.
